Reservoir Formation Damage, Fundamentals, Modeling, Assessment and Mitigation

19-08-2024 - 23-08-2024 4200 دبي

Course Introduction:

This five days comprehensive course gives the participants the latest findings and techniques for understanding, assessing, and mitigating reservoir formation damage. It will discuss how to draw from the key disciplines of chemistry, engineering, petrophysics, geology, and mathematical modeling to provide state-of-the-art knowledge and valuable insights into formation damage.

The ICTD Instructor will provide expertise in petroleum, chemical, and geological engineering make this unique because of its broad, thorough coverage. It provides an understanding of the testing, modeling, and simulation techniques available for formation damage assessment. Participants will discover new strategies designed to minimize and avoid formation damage in petroleum reservoirs

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, the delegates will be able to:

ü  Learn the characterization of the reservoir rock for formation damage

ü  Learn the characterization of the porous media processes for formation damage

ü  Assess the formation damage potential

ü  Apply the formation damage models for field

ü  Familiarize the formation damage by inorganic and organic processes
