SEC511: Cybersecurity Engineering: Advanced Threat Detection and Monitoring

01-09-2025 - 05-09-2025 $3,800 Dubai

Course Introduction:

As cyber threats continue to evolve in complexity and scale, organizations must adopt advanced threat detection and monitoring strategies to protect their critical systems and data. SEC511: Cybersecurity Engineering – Advanced Threat Detection and Monitoring is designed to equip cybersecurity professionals with the theoretical knowledge necessary to identify, analyze, and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats. This course focuses on the principles of security monitoring, threat intelligence, anomaly detection, and incident response, ensuring that participants can effectively build and manage security operations in complex IT environments.

Over five days, participants will explore advanced security monitoring techniques, network traffic analysis, endpoint threat detection, and security information and event management (SIEM) best practices. The course will also cover behavioral analytics, adversary tactics, and the latest cybersecurity frameworks to help organizations stay ahead of cyber adversaries. By the end of the training, attendees will have a solid foundation in advanced threat detection methodologies and cybersecurity engineering principles, preparing them to enhance their organization’s security posture.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the core principles of cybersecurity engineering and threat detection.
  • Learn how to implement advanced security monitoring and network defense strategies.
  • Gain knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Explore threat intelligence methodologies and cyber threat hunting techniques.
  • Analyze security event logs and detect anomalies using SIEM solutions.
  • Understand the role of behavioral analytics in detecting cyber threats.
  • Develop strategies for incident response, forensics, and remediation planning.
  • Apply cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST guidelines.
